Ik vond een lijstje met oneliners uit de eindeloze monoloog die tijdens mijn eerste visite aan New York over me werd uitgestort door een bezorgde vader uit Virginia. Locatie: McDonald's Canal Street.

- Don't tell anyone you're here alone!
- Don't trust anybody.
- Especially not the nice persons!
- Not even the people at your hotel.
- Nobody cares about your future.
- People are crazy here. Really crazy!
- But hey, I'm not trying to scare you!
